left the camera at other job site, so no photos today :(. However, we do have our temporary power pole set and the foundation crew has continued there work... Progress is good, and so is sunshine and 70 degrees, we love it!!

Slab it Up!!!

John and his crew are in full force today putting up the formwork for the slab. I left Baxter to supervise.
Chicken News: Word is one was spotted in the bushes with some hatching chicks. I think they are my good luck charm, this happened over at Santa Rosa. Where to put the chicken coup...probably not next to the caterary.

The word on the street the guys should arrive this afternoon or tomorrow to start the slab work. The temporary power pole should be up in the next few days. We are almost a real construction site. That reminds me, I need to order the lovely port-a-potty.

Cleaned Up & Ready 2 Go

All site work is finally done and our site looks all nice and tidy, for now. Today the surveyors are staking out the corners of the house, so the foundation guys know where to put the slab.The word is they will be ready to go tomorrow, yippee!! Beautiful weather seems to be in our future, i hope it sticks, we have had suck-ass luck so far.

The Big Dig

Well, we have made a huge mess and now we are filling in the hole. I got a ride on the big vibratory roller and I even got to drive it for a few passes, crazy!
