Making Progress!!!!

Several exciting things to report. We are connected to the city sewer and awaiting a Monday inspection. We are also connected for water as well. Lots of trenches and the front yard is a mess- but it is good progress. Metal guys are 90% done- we only lack the parapet cap for the rest of the house- but the dark grey metal is pretty much done and it looks super fantastic. Drywall is being delivered at this very moment and is scheduled to start Saturday or Monday! Will paint exterior once parapet cap is installed!!

Old Friend.

Well the time has come to put a ''For Sale" sign out for our existing house. He has been a good house and while we would love to keep him- we have to let him go. Patrick and I are going to try and sell him on our own for awhile- so if you are any of your friends are interested in a really good, well kept, good-lookin, sturdy, AFFORDABLE, low maintenance house- give us a call.

Looking Good!!!

metal is progressing nicely, it could be a little faster but I am not complaining, too much. The plumber has started to trench to connect to the city sewer and I am happy to report the baseboards were all fixed and I can sleep again at night.

Metal Me Happy!!

first pieces of metal are going up and I am so happy I could cry. It looks really good and thankfully I won't have to kill anyone...yet. The painters should arrive by weeks end to start prepping for exterior paint- yippeeeee!!!

Metal..The new chinese water toture

Well I think the metal guys have taken a class in super-sadist behavior. After many weeks of patiently waiting the metal arrived, however no one has shown up to actually install the metal. A bright spot is that it is the correct color- I will hold onto that. Baseboards got installed yesterday, but hey guess what they have to be redone- they installed them without mitering the corners. I thought this was a detail that was commonplace and did not have to be explicitly explained, approved and supervised- apparently i was wrong. So we wait for more material to be milled and re-installed. Oy vey.

Foam Glorious Foam

Insulation is in and the house is officially a cooler with its "no off gassing" foam insulation. I would have to say this job is up there on the "job sucking" factor with roofer. These guys clothes were coated in the stuff- i think that would get super annoying after about 2 min. Word on the street is they are coming to install the metal siding on Monday, crossing fingers tightly- and drywall should start by weeks end and exterior painting as soon as the metal is up.

Satan Needs an Overcoat

because his homebase has frozen over. The roofers are back and installed the last little segment of roof- which means no more water coming in and we can proceed with the inside. I don't know if i could have waited one more day, the roofers saved their houses from being toilet papered.
