The Glassman has arrived!!!

Despite the newly muddy site, we are still making progress. The electrician started yesterday, but is out today due to "illness". I am most excited that the glass installers came by to measure for all the glass around the courtyard and the front wrapping window. I will be very excited to get the boards off and once again see through the house. The shed is almost done, i need to get it locked up so no one moves in. Baxter of course is supervising a tight ship- he hates to but he will nip heels to get things done. The glass guys were very impressed with him, "Thats a sharp lookin' dog". No duh.

Get off the shed!!!!

We finally got the mountain of trash removed from behind the house- so that we can construct the shed. I am happy that we did not attempt to do this ourselves. I have learned to delegate and I like it A LOT!!! Especially in the summer.

Ryan Rocks!!

Our good friend Ryan came by on Saturday and is helping us wire the house for speakers, by helping I mean showing us what to do- as we have no clue. They just measured for wire and we need a whopping 1000 feet of wire. holy smokes.

Moving Along

Siding is all up. The towers get metal siding which is not yet up yet. The roofers will do it when the put up the flashing cap for the walls. We also got all of our A/C ducts installed and are waiting on our last roof vents do we can get the roof finished and water will stop draining into the house- it makes a big mess. The house is now locked up, yippee-- it was very sad to see my big courtyard openings boarded up while we wait for the commercial glass installers. It will just be that more dramatic when all that glass gets installed. The site was cleaned up this weekend- I am very pleased- it drove me bananas to try and control my obsessive compulsive need to straighten up- if only there was a construction Dyson- ah the dream. Dumpster to arrive tomorrow to remove now ginormous pile of trash. Plumbers should install water lines this week and electrician to start next week. I heart progress.
